Above: Large mirrors and efficient use of space make the salon appear large and open. Left: The white and dark wood accents reflect the salon's Southern California vibe.

With a client list that reads more like movie credits-with Eva Mendes, Amy Adams and Eva Longoria making the cut-the look of the new Peter Ishkhans at Joseph Martin Salon in Beverly Hills, California, had to be spot-on stylish. The result was a salon that is open, airy and elegant, with soaring ceilings, illuminating natural light, beautiful wood floors and a secluded upstairs area. The large mirrors, white wood accents and attractive retail area-products arranged on tall, white bookshelves-make for a bright, clean atmosphere, without appearing too minimalist.

"I wanted to bring our clients to a place where they could really feel welcomed and recognized; our clients are our family," says Peter Ishkhans, salon owner. "We are passionate about making their hair healthy and creating a look that harmonizes their make-up, fashion, personality and lifestyle."
