With six oversized styling stations standing over seven feet tall, the styling floor was built with relaxation and beauty in mind. In front of each station is an oversized Chelsea tufted chair. Oversized single-pane windows frame the front of the styling floor, allowing for gorgeous natural light for perfect hair color results.

“During their service, we encourage clients to relax and enjoy a glass of local Temecula Valley wine as well as the acoustic Jazz or Blues music playing,” says co-owner Laura Lake Petrich.

What most clients don’t notice is the tall stations are powered from the ceiling, allowing for easy disconnection and mobility. “We will often clear this 600 square foot space for educational and community events,” adds Noah Petrich.

In the wash house, the wall behind the oversized shampoo bowls is clad in reclaimed barn wood—each piece having been naturally weathered for years, collected, cut, cleaned and coated for indoor use. “This wood is visually stunning, allowing the true beauty of nature’s paintbrush to be admired,” says Laura.

Just beyond the wash house, guests are lured out onto a peaceful patio, where a waterfall feature soothes while the enjoy a cozy swing for two among the blossoming gardenias and busy hummingbirds.

Behind the styling floor is a private spa room. Next to it is a versatile room that is used for bridal parties, larger party services, and medical aesthetic services, including Botox and fillers. A third treatment room, which is used for permanent makeup and cosmetic services, features a private entrance leading out to the patio.

Before designing the space, the Petriches were bound by an agreement with the city’s historic society to preserve the historical value of the building and respect the culture it represented. “Every element we’ve included, whether it was the furnishings, the color story or the music we play admires the timestamp and era of this unique building,” she concludes.
