As an entrepreneur who grew an idea into an international brand, Paula Kent Meehan shattered glass ceilings in the professional beauty industry for women who followed, shaped the way beauty products are marketed today, elevated the profession of the cosmetologist and celebrated salon business. When she passed earlier this year, she definitely left some big pumps to fill.

As has been SALON TODAY’s tradition the past three October issues, we celebrate 17 women in the professional salon industry we believe embrace Meehan’s qualities of inspirational leadership, business focus, keen vision, and generosity of spirit. We look forward to seeing where these women will lead the industry next.
