Marketing is a salon’s way of telling its story in order to attract new clients and encourage existing ones to try different services from the menu. The ways salons leverage marketing to tell those stories is expanding every year, as owners sample newer vehicles like community videos, influencer programs and social media, along with more traditional methods.

Glow Beauty Boutique

Glow Beauty Boutique partnered with Salon Cloud Plus to launch its own app to help clients book anytime, anywhere. With an initial set-up cost of $2,500, the app allows clients to book appointments, purchase instant gift cards, access specials, refer a friend, track their loyalty points, read and write reviews and enjoy scratch-off -to-win freebies. “To get clients to download the app, we created a Facebook ad and in-house signage, and we targeted the friends of our friends on Facebook to attract new clients,” North says.
