In an effort to celebrate those who help you carry out the vision of your businesses, motivate your team members and hold them accountable and create an elevated guest experience, SALON TODAY is launching a new editorial column called MEET THE MANAGER. Whether you call them managers, operations directors or team leads, these next-in-charge staff members are vital for the everyday management of salons, spas and barbershops and we hope you’ll share their stories.
Nominating your manager is as easy as spending 30 minutes or so filling out our complimentary questionnaire and uploading an image of your manager. The resulting profile pieces will be posted on salontoday.com, featured in our email newsletters and shared through our social channels.
So, you can start thinking about it, here’s the kind of information our questionnaire asks:
What is the manager’s background/experience that made you believe they’d be a good fit for your business?
What personality characteristics make this person a good manager?
How is the manager compensated? (Salary, hourly wage, salary+bonus, etc)?
What are the three most important tasks the manager takes on at your salon/spa/barbershop?
How often do you, as the owner, meet with the manager and what do you review together?
What types of continuing education do you offer this manager?
How has this manager helped you personally as the owner, or how have they helped grow the business?
We hope by sharing these success stories, other entrepreneurs will see the value of having a manager and garner ideas for structuring that new job title.
To participate, log into our Meet the Manager questionnaire today!
