Stout, who began her career as a stylist at 16, was a bit put out when the salon she'd worked at more than 40 years, Todd D’Paul Stylists, closed, according to pressofatlanticcity.com. But despite being well past the standard national retirement age, she had no interest in ending her career when the salon shut down.

Animations hired the veteran stylist, and Stout says about 10 of her former clients followed her to the new salon.

"If I can help it, I never want to retire, because I love what I do,” Stout says.
