Paul Tate joins wife Valorie Tate to lead digital marketing and beauty branding agency Linkup Marketing on a new path to find and introduce new and innovative products and services to the beauty industry.
"We’ve made our name over the past eight years helping others discover their voice in the new digital age," said Linkup’s founder, Valorie Reavis-Tate. "Paul brings a new energy, knowledge and expertise to the table, which is exciting for new and existing clients. Both Paul and myself have a background in beauty, with a specialty in tech, but our real passion is to help the industry innovate and thrive."
Paul has a history of innovating as he held the reins at Shortcuts for 15 years, leading the move from paper books to software in the UK and North America. In early 2016, he took a back seat, bringing in the new Shortcuts general manager, Richard Wildey, to take on a more executive role. This allowed Paul the opportunity to be with his growing family and to turn his sights on new horizons for the industry.
"The most memorable times in my career have been centered around people and creating new and exciting opportunities for the industry. Shortcuts enabled me to help beauty businesses at a time when no one had an iPhone or could fathom ditching their paper books. Now it’s time to find and support a new wave of positive game-changers, and Linkup is uniquely positioned to introduce new concepts from the domestic and international markets," said Paul. "I will continue to work with Shortcuts as an executive consultant, but I’m looking forward to expanding our network and continuing to help salons and stylists."
