KEVIN.MURPHY Strengthens New England Presence Through New Partnership with Sullivan Beauty
Bringing global haircare authority closer to the chair, the partnership marks a renewed investment in New England's salons and stylists.
The concept brings professional recommendation into the online product purchase.

HOB Salons has launched HOB Homecare to help clients at home get the best hair care specifically for them. The HOB Salons team spent a year working on the concept, with the aim of ensuring that all clients use the correct products for their hair type.
Clients can book a free online video consultation with a hairdressing expert to discuss their haircare concerns and find the perfect regime that is personal to them and their hair type. Similar to an in-salon constultation, the expert then offers coloring and styling advice. The client can buy the prescribed products at the click of a button.
The website retails products from Olaplex, System Professional, Sebastian, Nioxin, ghd, Alterna and Wella.
Led by four-time British Hairdresser of the Year and HOB Salons International Creative Director Akin Konizi, the website is designed to care for all hair types away from the salon.
“We are moving onto another level of client care," Konizi says. "Clients come and see us every 6-12 weeks and then go home and use products from wherever. We lose control of how they care for their hair, but now with HOB Homecare we can recommend what to use at home that they can’t buy at a supermarket. So, if they run out of a product, they can have a video consultation and ensure they get the right products specifically for them.”
General Manager Natasha Grossman adds, “What is good for one person doesn’t necessarily work for another person. Supermarket products are generic; what we’re offering is a personalized service between salon visits. We want to deliver expert advice so that clients can look after their hair properly at home and ultimately get the results they really want.”
The HOB team is so confident about client satisfaction that clients who purchase products through an expert recommendation and are not 100% satisfied with the results can request an exchange or a full refund within 28 days of the purchase.
