Van Michael
Atlanta, GA
Owners: Van and Michael Council

Van Michael wanted to renovate its website to position the salon as a fashion-forward leader; showcase its awards, culture and history; attract new stylists with the same values and vision; and attract dream guests. The owners worked with Imaginal Marketing Group to redesign a site that speaks to the salons’ target market and pushes the artistic envelop.

The salon’s stylists submitted headshots and the new site uses behind-the-scenes photographs of the team in action, which are pulled from artists’ Instagram accounts. The ‘Find-a-Stylist’ section helps new guests find an artist based on location, price and expertise. Since the site launched, the online booking page attracts 16% of visitors.

“Our site traffic is way up,” says Van Council. “Building the site to be search engine-friendly has helped bring us 19,000 unique visitors in the first 60 days.”
