According to businessdictionary.com, marketing is the management process through which goods and services move from concept to the customer. Several years ago, Salon Marketing was one of the most popular categories in our SALON TODAY 200 salon business recognition program. Most applicants were eager though to show was the marketing materials they created as much as they wanted to talk about the success of their programs, so we launched a spinoff recognition program. STAMP—or SALON TODAY’s Annual Marketing Program—showcases the best in salon marketing from several diverse categories, including traditional marketing, digital marketing, marketing campaigns, branding and in-salon marketing.
The 2019 STAMP celebrated 33 honorees in 24 different categories, including a few new categories: Influencer Programs, Gift Box Programs and Television Appearances.
Here is the honoree for best Television Appearance:
Celebrity Makeovers
Twiggs Salon
Wayzata, MN
Owner: Shauna Raisch
As one of Wayzata’s high-end boutique salons, Twiggs is constantly looking to raise awareness of its offerings and capabilities. Owner Shauna Raisch recently called on Imaginal Marketing to help promote the salon’s extensions services in a way that was fun and attention-grabbing.
Together, they booked an appearance on a popular local morning show and the team did celebrity makeovers on models, transforming them into Kim Kardashian, Chrissy Tiegen and Sarah Jessica Parker. Before-and-after shots showcased the possibilities the team could create using Hairdreams extensions.
“Our goal was to raise the profile of our celebrity-level work, to build our reputation and show off the talents of our team,” Raisch said. “We used a new guest code on corresponding social media, blogs and our social bios, and we saw a huge increase in new guests. We normally have 60 a month, and in the month following the appearance, we saw 105 and the next month welcomed 84.”
