“We love the oak we used throughout the salon—it’s refreshing and lightens up the space. Most people haven’t seen flooring used as an accent ceiling and it brings some coziness and warmth to the space.”

JUDGES’ COMMENTS:

“Different done well! I never saw the barn door sliding hardware used in this application with the mirrors. It’s a great design element that works very well!”—Jercha

“Great open feeling and use of natural elements.”—Valenzuela

“The functional solutions become the strongest design elements in this elegant urban boutique. The ‘relief’ mats behind the chairs are incorporated into the flooring designand I loved the rolling mirrors with the hidden cubbies.”—Soukhopalova
