As millions enter the new year searching externally for inspiration and answers, author and entrepreneur Joel Steele believes the most powerful change people can make is to think differently if they want different results.
“Everything you need is already within you,” Steele said in a recent interview. “You’re prewired for success.”
In his Amazon #1 New Release, Life Switch, Steele challenges the idea that meaningful change comes from outside sources — and instead introduces a concept he calls the “life switch”: an internal, mental game changer that physically impacts how a person shows up in every area of their life. He believes this so strongly that he’s personally giving away $1 million to charity when the book sells its one millionth copy.

Steele knows firsthand the cost of living disconnected from passion and purpose. His own turning point came after a series of devastating setbacks that left him facing jail time and bankruptcy. Steele’s own life switch moment forced him to confront a question many avoid: Why am I here?
“You’re choosing to live either an ordinary or an extraordinary life,” Steele said. “Every day, we’re all making choices. Some help you simply get by, but others help you get ahead. When you choose to flip your switch on, you make the choice that ‘nothing is going to stop me, especially myself.’”
In Life Switch, Steele shares raw and powerful examples from his own journey and outlines three simple steps designed to help readers get ahead in their own lives:
