The 2019 landmark salon design competition names 21 honorees, including the Grand-Prize Winner, Men's Grooming Salon of the Year and Nail Salon of the Year. See which salons captured top honors.





With its Free Sips Station, Social Room, Beauty Zone and cafe, the client experience is the name of the game at PENZONE Salon + Spa.
The final judging results are in and Penzone Salon + Spa Dublin, owned by Debra and Charles Penzone in Dublin, Ohio, captures the top honor in SALON TODAY’s 2019 Salons of the Year. In addition to the title, the salon will appear on the cover of the May/June 2019 magazine.
In a departure from years past, the judges designated winners in two specialty salon categories. They selected 1922 Men’s Grooming Salon, owned by Tim Timmons in Woodstock, Georgia, as the 2019 Men’s Grooming Salon of the Year; and LaBelle Nail Bar, owned by Oanh Le in Ardmore, Pennsylvania as the 2019 Nail Salon of the Year. In addition, Anthony DeFranco Salon and Spa, owned by Anthony DeFranco and Pei Cheung in Plainview, New York, was named the 2019 First Runner-Up and Rob Peetoom Williamsburg, owned by Rob and Savana Peetoom in Brooklyn, New York, was named Second Runner-Up.
Sixteen additional salons were named Salons of Distinction, and all 21 honorees will be profiled on salontoday.com and in the May/June issue.
