SALON TODAY celebrated a crowd of more than 500 salon owners and team members at the annual SALON TODAY 200 Celebratory Dinner in Nashville following the first day of the Data-Driven Salon Summit.
Chrystofer Benson, who has won more than 25 international titles in cutting, color and styling made a surprise appearance, talking about the winning spirit and shared secrets for keeping up for momentum.
Frank Gambuzza, owner of Visage Salon Group and Gambuzza's Barbershops, based in Knoxville, Tennessee, served as the master of ceremony, calling each SALON TODAY 200 honoree to the stage to collect their official certificate.
Gambuzza also introduced special guest speakers who presented special awards to six different ST200 salons after sharing their empowering stories.
Bertrand Fontaine, president of Salon Centric, presented the Business Innovation award to Lindsey Young and Todd Bullock, owners of Luna Salon in Tallahassee, Florida.
Shannon Fanshawe, vice president of sales for Kerastase and Shu Uemura, presented the award for Courage in Leadership to Jyl and Jason Craven, owners of Jyl Craven Hair Studio in Canton, Georgia.
Barry Quinn, president of Phorest Salon Software presented the Creativity in Customer Experience award to Amber Baer, onwer of Something You Salon & Spa, in Champaign, Illinois.
Karen Wilkin-Donachie, CEO of Collective Beauty Brands, presented the Modernization in Education award to Maggie DiFalco, owner of Maggie The Salon in Pembroke Pines, Florida.
Denise Boudreaux, director of sales for SalonBiz, presented the Community Outreach award to Debbie and Charles Penzone of PENZONE Salons + Spas in Columbus, Ohio.
Shauna McQuillen, vice president of commmerical for Aveda, presented the Strengthening Team Culture award to Shelly Malizola, owner of Allure Designs in Beauty.
In addition to a cocktail hour and a lovely dinner, the guests enjoyed the 360 degree team photo opportunity sponsored by Kerastase.
