As registered buyers at one of the largest art markets in the world, Owners Luis Allen and James Schroeder have access to more than 2,000 showrooms where they often shop and obsess over which art pieces and furniture to add to their salon, which makes its home in a historic home in the mountain community of Blue Ridge, Georgia.
“What makes us different from other salons in the area is that all first-time clients get a tour by one of the owners, and the tour starts off by showing them pictures of the original owners of the house from the 1800s,” Schroeder says. “We talk about the original hardwood floors and the metal-stamped ceiling, and as the tour progresses, we explain where the art pieces came from and why we selected them. For example, one piece is from a local gallery and the artist used maps on the wooden art piece that is mystical and incredible.”
“We also explain how we customized the salon stations and furniture from Eurisko,” Allen explains. “Our clients love this information, as well as why we selected our product lines.”
The salon is filled with light, from the windows along the hallway that houses the generously spaced stations to the extraordinary and elegant chandeliers throughout. Cobalt blue styling chairs add vibrant pops of color to the illuminated white mirrors with storage built into the sides.
As the overall community of Blue Ridge is exploding as wealthy retirees are moving in or building second homes there, the owners’ overall goal is to create a luxurious and elegant salon that is also warm, welcoming, friendly and genuine.
The owners’ motto is ‘People Over Profit,' and they say they know that when you operate with integrity, the profit will come. “According to people in the industry, interior designers and wealthy clients, we are often told there is nothing like our salon in the country,” Allen says.
