SALON TODAY challenged the 2018 class of the Salon Today 200 to send in fun team videos that give us a glimpse into their businesses and their cultures, and the results were so creative, we had to give away a few Oscars. Check out the compilation video

When SALON TODAY notified the Salon Today 200 that they made the list this year, we requested they celebrate the honor by gathering their team and shooting a creative 30-second video in the salon--the more fun and wacky, the better.
Shortly before New Year's, the individual videos started rolling in and many of them had the SALON TODAY team rolling on the floor. There were clever parodies of historic TV shows, crazy costumes, lip syncing and original scores, fun dance moves and even a team experimenting with the tasers the owner gave them for the holidays.
Salon Today Editor Stacey Soble worked with Kim Pham, manager of video content for Bobit Business Media, gathering the video clips from 56 salons and creating a compilation video to be shown at the Salon Today 200 reception at Serious Business in New Orleans in mid-January. They were so impressed with the creativity of the videos, they decided to recognize four at the reception with miniature Oscars. Awards went out to The Refinery Salon in O'Fallon, IL for Most Creative Video; J. Michael's Spa and Salon in Louisville, KY, for Best Comedy; Studio Wish Salon in Twinsburg, OH, for Best Musical and Josephine's Salon and Spa in Houston, TX, for Biggest Heartstring.
The compilation video exhibits the strong cultures and team bonds in some of the best-managed salons in North -America. If you find yourself with a 20-minute break or need a mood booster, check out the finished video:
