2021 Salons of the Year: Kalon Hair Studio
The grandfather of the owner of Kalon Hair Studio in Worthington, Ohio, built the wooden wall wraps and the floating ceiling, making this salon design not only beautiful but special. Check out the fun design of this 2021 Salons of the Year honoree.

“When you walk into Kalon, the first thing you notice are the massive hickory wood structures. A wooden wall wraps up, creating a floating wooden ceiling. This compliments the hickory used through the salon in floating retail shelves—each unique piece built by hand by the owner’s grandfather. A starlit walkway divides the salon from front to back—the 25 hanging pendants that drop through the floating ceiling create a floating effect.”
