2018 Salons of the Year: Lavish Salon

We saw several salons remove the idea of a front desk in this year's submissions, and Lavish Salon in Friendswood, Texas, was on trend.  It's moss-covered walls were also unique, and the salon earned a spot as a 2018 Salon of Distinction.

“Instead of a front desk, we have a community-style reception table with two computers where guests can check in. We love our moss walls combined with uniquely shaped antique mirrors above the retail area and the shampoo bowls. Our corkboard of images is a form of communication between guests and stylists—stylists showcase photos of their latest work, and guests can write messages to their stylists. It’s empowering, fun and engaging.”
