Pretty Posts, Real Risks: Social Media Safety for Salons and Spas
As important as social media is for marketing your business, it also can open owners up to liability issues. SASSI warns of the risks and shows you how to protect yourself.
Shortcuts launches a new monthly service that helps busy owners with their salon's social media posts.

Shortcuts' new service Social Sorted helps busy salon owners stay on top of social media marketing.
A unique and limited opportunity to join an exclusive social media service being launched by the one of the world’s leading salon software providers will be available later this month for two weeks only. Everyone that joins Social Sorted between late September and early October will have access to 30 engaging post ideas every month, including free-to-use photos and engaging captions that the salon’s clients will love.
“So many salons are struggling desperately to find or create content their clients can engage with in a positive way and which builds the salon’s online brand,” says SHORTCUTS’ founder Jo Burgess. “The demands of running a business and the limited access to affordable, visually appealing content make it really difficult to thrive online, so we have created our own solution--Social Sorted.’
SHORTCUTS is limiting the initial membership launch of Social Sorted, opening it up for enrolment between September 24 and October 7. But those who sign up in this membership round will never struggle for content again! Plus they will have access to a closed Facebook group for the Social Sorted community that will be rich with webinars, education, questions, answers and discussions.
“Social Sorted has been created to bolster every member’s presence on social media, to build a thriving community around their brand, and all without falling foul of copyright,” adds Burgess. “But it will be more than that, it will also be a community for salons, with a forum to share ideas and discuss issues relating to social media and client engagement. To ensure this budding community is empowered and strong, we’ve decided to keep it exclusive in the initial stages.”

Jo Burgess, founder of Shortcuts Software.
Social Sorted has no lock-in contract; it will be a month-to-month rolling membership, costing an affordable $27 per month or $297 per year. And for salons who sign up in September, the first month of content in October will be completely free, with no obligation to continue.
