The collaboration between Reserve with Google and Shortcuts Software  has netted nearly 34,000 additional bookings for Shortcuts salons, worth $1.3M, in just a few weeks since it launched. The partnership has made possible the impossible dream of scooping up everyone who finds your salon in a Google search.

The arrival of Reserve with Google presents a huge opportunity to dominate the world’s biggest and most prolific search engine.

“More than 80 per cent of potential clients check out local businesses on Google, making it absolutely crucial you have a stunning online presence with greater stand-out than Kim Kardashian on the red carpet,” says Jo Burgess, co-founder of Shortcuts. “Our salon partners who opt into Reserve with Google will immediately move into the elite class of Google, with an added BOOK NOW button on their Google listings. It ensures Shortcuts salons will be the most visible in every online search.”

Reserve with Google makes salons super-tempting to the client by immediately reducing the number of steps they must take to book an appointment online. Instead of trawling through a search for a business, clicking through to its website, then navigating to an online booking page, they will now simply click the BOOK NOW button from their initial Google search. It’s quicker and more streamlined, making every listing much more attractive than those not optimized with Google and Shortcuts.

All bookings made on Reserve with Google are instantly integrated, automatically syncing with the Shortcuts Appointment Book. Only available appointments are displayed via the system and once the booking is made it will appear as ‘needs-review’ in the Shortcuts Appointment Book. Google will even check in with a salon’s software to guarantee against double-bookings.

Reserve with Google goes hand in hand with the Google My Business profile, so when a client searches via Google search or Google Maps, they will see a picture-perfect Google listing with a ‘book’ button front and center. All a client needs to do is tap that button and follow the steps to make an appointment.
