Klarna, the everyday finance network, announced a new partnership with SQUIRE, the AI-first platform helping barbershops run and grow their businesses through intelligent automation, integrated payments and seamless booking. The partnership brings Klarna directly into SQUIRE’s booking experience, giving approximately U.S. barbershops on the platform the opportunity to offer customers flexible payment options at checkout. The integration is powered by Stripe.

Customers booking haircuts or beauty and grooming services at SQUIRE-powered barbershops can now choose Klarna at checkout: pay in full for a quick trim, split the cost into four interest-free installments for a special occasion haircut-and-beard package, or use financing for larger purchases like a membership or premium grooming bundle.

"Barbershops are a category built on loyal customers and personal trust, which makes them a natural fit for the way people already use Klarna," said Lisa Robinson, Head of Partner Success, US East Coast and Canada at Klarna. "This partnership brings Klarna's flexible payment options to thousands of barbershops and the customers they serve, and is a meaningful step in extending Klarna's reach beyond retail into everyday services."

"SQUIRE is building the operating system for the modern barbershop, giving independent business owners access to powerful tools that help them compete and grow,” said Dave Salvant, Co-Founder and President of SQUIRE. Bringing Klarna directly into SQUIRE’s booking and payments experience builds on that mission, giving clients more flexibility to pay for higher-priced services while helping shops grow their business through the platform they already use every day.”

The partnership with SQUIRE reflects Klarna’s broader growth strategy of building distribution partnerships to expand its reach and has helped grow Klarna's merchant network by 54% year over year to more than 1.2 million merchants as of Q2 2026.
