Stylists use their skills every day to elevate people's self-concept. Now you can volunteer with a special event to help some of those who need your talents the most. On Saturday, August 28 during Cosmoprof North America Las Vegas, the Sam Villa Company is partnering with The Beyond Project to provide makeovers and styling tutorials to the women of the Salvation Army’s Seeds of Hope—"Saving, Empowering, Educating and restoring DreamS to lives shattered by human trafficking."  

Your Help Makes a Difference

Sam Villa will be donating blow dryers, flat irons and curling irons to the women. Volunteer stylists will refresh haircuts, do makeovers, and give styling tutorials using the donated tools so women can recreate the looks on their own for upcoming job interviews and everyday life.

“Hairdressers often engage with women coming out of difficult circumstances," explains Beth Carson, co-founder and president of Sam Villa. "The Beyond Project creates community volunteer efforts to address these needs sensitively and compassionately. We share the same values and commitment and are proud to utilize our voice and community to amplify the impact hairdressers make on people’s lives, especially women recovering from abuse.”

To volunteer your time and talent and work alongside Sam Villa, Ira Pope Sage and Marquetta Breslin, simply sign up here. Your application will include a background check and 15-minute basic trauma training.

When: Saturday, August 28, from 12pm-3pm;
Also Monday, August 30, 12pm-3pm for LGBTQIA+ youth and veterans facing homelessness
