Diabetes affects one in every 12 Americans and is a career-threatening disease to hairdressers.  To raise awareness for research, care and a cure, Reuben Carranza, CEO of Wella North America, and the National Professional Salon Industry Council are partnering wiith City of Hope, a world leader in breakthrough medical technology.

This brief interview with Carranza, City of Hope Spirit of Life Honoree for 2013, talks about the many ways to join Wella and City of Hope in the fight against diabetes including a grassroots fundraising effort via CrowdRise, an auction and attendance at the Spirit of Life Gala on July 13 at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, NV.
