Lots of miles, lots of smiles. Over one hundred Sexy Hair employees from all over the U.S joined together in Santa Monica, CA on August 22nd to raise funds in support of the company’s philanthropic partner Look Good Feel Better, a nonprofit organization that helps those stricken with cancer deal with the side effects of treatment. At their annual Walk-A-Thon, for every mile employees completed, Sexy Hair donated $10. By the end of the hour long walk, approximately 402 miles were completed.
“The names on the back of our shirts are friends, family members and colleagues who have either battled or lost their fight to cancer,” said Karl Heinz Pitsch, CEO and President of Sexy Hair. “This walk was not only personal; it was about showing respect, expressing our support and demonstrating our commitment to everyone who has had to endure this diagnosis with hope that eventually the new names on the back of the shirts diminish and eventually disappear.”
Since its partnership, Sexy Hair has raised over $500,000 for Look Good Feel Better through its annual walk-a-thons, national cut-a-thons, warehouse sales and proceeds from specially marked Breast Cancer Awareness cans.
