The mission of Maisie Dunbar's Spa Lounge is "transforming lives through the power of touch." Recently, Dunbar opened the doors of her Maryland spa to breast cancer survivors and breast cancer warriors, those fighting to defeat the disease, to receive some of that powerful, healing touch.
Dunbar offered guests treatments including manicures and massage plus the chance to wear the always fashionable blood pressure cuff; a nurse was on hand to measure blood pressure.

Dr. Hazel Jackson talked about conventional medicine and holistic medicine in the treatment of breast cancer. AFLAC insurance spoke on the insurance ramifications of the disease.
Any money donated was earmarked for City of Hope, a renowned comprehensive cancer center.
