On December 22, 2016, Farouk Systems, Inc. was awarded certification to the European Federation for Cosmetic Ingredients’ Good Manufacturing Practice Standard ISO 9001:2008 (“EFfCI GMP”) and a separate certification to the ISO 22716 GMP Standard, each for its Houston facilities. These certifications confirm Farouk Systems’ continued adherence to the highest level of quality and safety in the production of cosmetics products and its rigorous approach to quality assurance.
The EFfCI was established in 2000 as the European Federation for Cosmetic Ingredients – a European trade association that brings together manufacturers of synthetic and natural ingredients for the cosmetics and personal care industry. It promulgates EFfCI GMP and is recognized worldwide as the leading authority for quality management systems standards in the cosmetic product and ingredient manufacturing industry. It is also open to companies and national associations that represent cosmetic ingredients manufacturers and currently represent the interests of more than 100 cosmetic ingredients companies.
“For the past 30 years Farouk Systems has successfully manufactured the highest quality products in conjunction with its conscious commitment to the environment and safety of its customers," says Dr. Farouk Shami, founder and chairman of Farouk Systems. "This certification provides timely and comprehensive information relevant to the industry and facilitates dialogue between the industry and other interested parties.”
