When a tornado ripped through Joplin, Missouri in 2011, Farouk Systems, Inc. (FSI) reached out to salons, offering product support and aid.  Once again, FSI will be helping their salon partners come through a time of crisis.  FSI announces plans to donate $1 million in CHI and BioSilk products to salons owners affected by Superstorm Sandy. The assistance will consist of salon product kits and styling tools to be distributed throughout those areas hardest hit in southern New Jersey, Queens and Long Island.

When FSI founder, Farouk Shami, and CEO, Basim Shami started to receive reports of the destruction that Sandy was causing along the eastern seaboard, they immediately agreed to reach out to those business owners to assure them that Farouk Systems would help rebuild what Sandy had destroyed.

“Our hearts go out to these salon business owners who, in some cases, have lost everything. These people have sold and supported our CHI and BioSilk products in their salons for years. They are members of the Farouk Family. We must now stand by them in their hour of need,” said Farouk Shami, founder and chairman of Farouk Systems.

FSI will be working with key distributors to identify salons eligible for this support. It expects to have representatives on the ground to give business owners the product boxes the week of November 26, 2012.
