While you were hard at work at the salon today, some of your clients may have been tuning into The Dr. Oz Show and following along as the good doctor and his special guest Tabatha Coffey revealed potential unsanitary practices at some salons that could endanger the health of the clients they serve.

We immediately contacted registered nurse Leslie Roste, because we know she joined the world of cosmetology and King Research (the manufacturers of Barbicide) following a long background of health care and infection control and she routinely educates professionals, salons and schools on best practices. We asked Roste to take the issues raised by Tabatha and Dr. Oz one by one, and offer salons and working professionals clearcut, practical advice about the sanitary practices they should be practicing on a day-to-day basis and how to best communicate their sound santination practices to their clients.
