Howard Hafetz of Art of Business recently announced that Douglas A. Cox has been the chosen honoree for this year’s Art of Business Award. Each year, Art of Business awards an individual they feel has made an unusually great contribution to the business side of beauty.
According to Hafetz, this year’s honoree, Doug Cox, has been a champion of business information and ideas for salon owners and managers for years.
"He burst onto the scene in 1972 debuting a new seminar for Redken called The Challenge of Success," Hafetz says. "The first challenge was with Raylon Corporation in Lancaster, PA. .It was the first ever business program for salon owners...and, did it ever make a difference! The challenge became a Redken premier event throughout North America and all over the world. Doug served as the inspiration, the communication guru, and the idea guy that helped so many salon owners to fall in love with their business."
Cox will be featured at Art of Business seminar the weekend of April 2nd and 3rd in Philadelphia.
This year’s speakers are leaders in beauty including Bryan Nunes, Keri Davis-Duffy, Laurence Hegarty, Andrew Dale, and Dave Sanderson.
