Last month, Chairman for Denman International and the Denroy Group John Rainey received an honorary doctorate from Queen’s University in Belfast, Northern Ireland for distinction in business and commerce.

“I am delighted to be receiving this honor from Queen’s," Rainey said. "As a university with a global presence it still remains close to its roots, engaging with local communities, businesses, and students.”

Denman International manufactures Denman hairbrushes and combs, which are sold throughout the world, with the United States as one of its best markets.

In 2014, Rainey was appointed as a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) for outstanding contribution to economic development in Northern Ireland.
