At a press event held last night at the Redken Exchange in NYC, Redken Curl Expert Jenny Balding was on hand to help launch CURVACEOUS, the new product line designed to enhance and celebrate curls. "It's a light weight product line designed for wavy and curly hair. It's great for fine textured curly hair," she says. "Even the packaging looks like a curl!"

There are seven products in the line, offering a customized approach for every type of curl and wave. "The products are designed to remove frizz and define curl," says Jenny. "I mix and match and use as a perscription for my clients. The combination of the 'Curl Memory Complex' and Redken's 'Interlock Protein Network' make this the ideal solution for clients looking to perfect their curls."

The Invisible Work of a Rebrand

In this rare essay, the president of a haircare brand takes us behind-the-scenes into a world we never see when we pick up a product off the shelves--the arduous, thought-probing, second-guessing journey of rebranding a legacy product line. Not only is her reflection fascinating, but it is also incredibly useful for any salon owner or manufacturer contemplating their own brand.
