Professional beauty products manufacturer Aveda recently announced plans to increase accessibility and brand awareness by launching a test program of Aveda Experience Centers within 15 Nordstrom fashion specialty retail stores, across the U.S starting in November 2012. The new experience centers will introduce the company’s philosophy of connecting beauty, wellness, education and environmental awareness to Nordstrom shoppers.  In addition, Aveda products will also be available at Nordstrom.com.

The new experience centers will provide a prestige environment where guests can experiment with Aveda’s botanically-based beauty products and experience them through a series of complimentary Rituals of Renewal designed to relax and nurture.  The rituals include an Aroma Sensory Journey, Stress Relieving Hand Ritual and a Stress Relieving Neck and Shoulder Ritual.  Complimentary Comforting Tea and skin and hair consultations will also be offered.

"We know that many Nordstrom shoppers don’t know or use Aveda today, yet they have a high affinity to our brand, so we are excited to be able to introduce them to our high performance products as well as a wonderful service experience,” says Martin Kaufmann, General Manager of North America for Aveda. “We’re delighted to have this amazing opportunity to reach new guests and introduce them to our Salon and Spa network across the country through referrals from our Experience Centers in Nordstrom.”

"We're thrilled to partner with a renowned brand like Aveda that has such worldwide appeal," said Laurie Black, General Merchandise Manager and Executive Vice President for Cosmetics at Nordstrom, Inc. "We think our customers are going to love exploring and shopping their unique products through their Experience Centers in our stores and on our website."

Aveda Experience Centers in Nordstrom will showcase Aveda’s commitment to environmental sustainability and innovative design by aligning all design aspects with the company's mission and sourcing responsible materials from like-minded companies. All locations will be adorned with sustainably-harvested bamboo displays and accent furniture—using reclaimed, vintage and plantation-grown hardwoods whenever possible.  Décor is seasoned with a warm color palette complementing the ambiance of aromatic pure flower and plant essences, and inviting relaxation.

Experience Centers will be located at Nordstrom stores at Chandler Fashion Center in Chandler, AZ; Arden Fair Mall in Sacramento, CA; Irvine Spectrum Center in Irvine, CA; Cherry Creek Shopping Center in Denver, CO; The Village of Merrick Park in Coral Gables, FL; Montgomery Mall in Bethesda, MD; Northshore Mall in Peabody, MA; West County Center in St. Louis, MO; Fashion Show Mall in Las Vegas, NV; Providence Place in Providence, RI; North East Mall in Hurst, TX; and Northpark Center in Dallas, TX; Tacoma Mall in Tacoma, WA; Alderwood Mall in Lynnwood, WA and Dulles Town Center in Dulles, VA.
