We’ve all cringed when we see pictures on social of clients cutting their own bangs, shaving their own heads or dying their own hair. It’s a stylist’s worst nightmare.

Salon software managements system Mangomintleveraged that feeling for an April Fool’s prank on its Instagram, announcing that it was releasing a new feature called SOS Notification.

“Integrate the emergency alert system and get notified when clients dye their hair blonde by themselves, cut their own bangs, or are about to do an at-home chemical peel and much more. You could say client mischief is managed by Mangomint.

“And for a limited time offer while supply lasts, get the ultra-special, pre-issue tracking. Get an alert before the event exists. Client buying bleach at Sally Beauty? Get an alert. Picks up a pair of scissors? Get an alert.”

Mangomint released this April Fool’s joke on their Instagram, and while it’s timely and relevant, it is something all stylists wish was real. But alas, it’s still just an April Fool’s Prank.
