Martino Cartier took a Saks Fifth Avenue approach to the design of his namesake salon in Sewell, New Jersey, where a mirror-tiled lion welcomes guests.
Lalo Salon's reception area is defined by three large sliding doors that create a moveable barn-wood wall. Black glass inserts in the walls resemble windows, and their staff uses them to leave hand-written messages to guests and to announce special events.
