To combat increased bounce rates and decreased page views, Josephine’s website recently underwent a content management overhaul and redesign. The salon’s team also knew the timing was right for a responsive design because mobile users were experiencing problems with the existing site.
The team reorganized the sitemap and navigation and simplified the overall design, utilizing sidebars and other vacant areas for new client signups. The new site mirrored the marketing messages on other collateral pieces embraced the look and feel of the salon’s redesign.
“With the new site, we’ve seen a 52 percent increase in page views per month, a 29 percent increase in new mobile visits, a 119 percent increase in new client signups and our bounce rate decreased by nearly 21 percent,” Yeh says. “Overall, we have experienced a 620 percent return on investment!”
