Industry Day Geofilter
Inspire Greatness Aveda Institute
Denver, CO
Owner: Dale Le Monds

In 2017, the institute started using Snapchat geofilters to engage students and prospects through a social media platform that statistically engages their age range. The first event that was celebrated with a geofilter was Industry Day, a career fair-like event that brings salons, spas and vendors on campus to connect with students.

“We paid $30.46 for the filter to run for twelve hours,” Le Monds says. “It was uses 211 times on a snap, and 16,832 viewers saw the filter through others’ use. Knowing that word of mouth referrals are our best source of admission leads and that many spas were likely sent to friends who fit our lead profile, the number of views is highly valuable.”

Following the success of this endeavor, the institute created geofilters to celebrate the First Day of School, Valentine’s Day and its event, Catwalk for Water.
