On the Journey to Become A Wella Master Color Expert: Phase One

Jamie Newman | December 22, 2016 | 12:42 PM
Two participants, Joseph and Gina, work with color during a hands-on challenge during Phase One.

As a Master Color Expert, one is expected to become just that—a color master. Once participants have completed four prerequisite Color Craft courses within a 12-month period, they can sign up for Wella's Master Color Expert program. The MCE program has two phases—one and two—where attendees go through color boot camp before becoming a Master Color expert at the end of phase two.

The three participants enrolled in Wella's Master Color Expert Program for this particular week (December 12-December 16, the final MCE Phase One training for 2016) all happen to be salon owners. They explain why they signed up, and what they will take away from Phase One of the program and bring back to their salon before starting Phase Two in February.
