With this first ad in a series, Owner Gayle Reuling and Brand Manager Amy Dighton developed the “Life Isn’t Perfect, But Your Hair Can Be” campaign featuring clients in their real, daily settings. With a budget of $800 for the photographer, Dighton picked a willing client and focused on running the ads in a local lifestyle magazine, whose editor was willing to trade her rate for regular blowouts.

The ad features the chaos that ensures as the client and her four children bake cookies in her kitchen, all while she sports perfect hair. “We posted an album of shots from that day to our social vehicles and it gets a great response,” Dighton says. “The ad had our clients buzzing, and we received about 50 new clients from it.”
