For the past 15 years, Ginger Bay has held a charity event with a different charity benefiting each year—raising more than $250,000 throughtout the past eight years.

This year, the salon picked five of their favorite local charities and let Facebook fans decide which would be this year’s recipient. The salon spent $350 to design and setup the Facebook voting tab, and because the charities were in friendly competition, they all shared the voting tab and subsequent detail posts, reaching a total of 32,069 viewers.
