Lynelle Lynch, owner of Bellus Academy was honored with the “Advancement in Esthetics Education” award during the Repêchage 21st Annual International Conference.  The award recognizes professionals who have demonstrated a commitment to investing in the future of esthetics through excellence in skincare education.

Lynch accepted the award on May 6, at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York City. More than 150 skin care and spa professionals from over 15 nations attended the Repêchage  Annual International conference hosted by Lydia, Shiri and David Sarfati.

In January, Bellus Academy became the first school in the U.S. to offer the CIDESCO USA Skincare Certificate, bringing the prestigious standard to America’s esthetic community. The San Diego-based academy has become a destination school for students seeking to launch their esthetics career as well as licensed esthetics professionals seeking to take their career to the next level via advanced education. In 2016, Bellus Academy became the first school in the nation to offer the Wellness for Cancer training program and in 2017, Bellus partnered with the International Spa Association to launch the “Get Your Dream Job” campaign. The Academy also offers the ITEC Diploma, providing a passport for diploma holders to practice esthetics in more than 40 countries around the globe.

In addition to her leadership role at Bellus Academy, Lynch serves as president of Beauty Changes Lives, a non-profit that equips and empowers next generation beauty professionals. To date, Beauty Changes Lives has awarded more than 500 scholarships to aspiring estheticians, spa professionals, hairstylists, barbers and nail professionals.

Remarking on Lynelle’s selection as the 2019 recipient, Repêchage founder Lydia Sarfati stated, “Lynelle’s leadership, energy and passion for elevating excellence in esthetics through education is inspiring stakeholders across the professional spa industry. Visiting Bellus Academy earlier this year, it is clear that she is leading a culture rooted in excellence and committed to achieving the highest standards of esthetic education.”
