The Professional Beauty Association (PBA) is excited to announce the opening of the 31st annual North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA), the most prestigious professional beauty competition and awards.
As the top hair, makeup, and nail competition in North America, NAHA is the premiere platform for beauty professionals to push the boundaries and bring their artistic vision to life. Entry for NAHA 2020 opens June 6th, 2019 and closes August 8th, 2019 at 9pm EDT/6pm PDT.

Artists are encouraged to submit their collections to any of fifteen categories of excellence spanning across hair, makeup and nail artistry including: Avant Garde, Haircolor, Haircutting, Hairstylist of the Year, Makeup Artist of the Year, Master Hairstylist of the Year, Men’s Hairstylist of the Year, Nail Professional of the Year, Newcomer Stylist of the Year, Salon/School Design of the Year, Student Hairstylist of the Year, Styling & Finishing, Team of the Year, and Texture.

Those with existing portfolio work are encouraged to enter the Editorial/Session Stylist of the Year category, which features outstanding work previously published in a consumer publication available for purchase on newsstands or online and does not require creating a new NAHA collection.

NAHA submissions are judged online, in multiple rounds, by a blind panel of judges. The judging process is completely anonymous with no contact between judges or knowledge of artist names to ensure anonymity and fairness during the judging process.
