Beauty Pulse Weighs the Salon Mood About Retail Sales

As Amazon moves into the professional beauty space, chatter in the salon owner community swirls around competitive online sales and the impact it has on the bottom line.

SALON TODAY wondered how the phenomenon is shaping salon business today, so we made retail the focus of our first Beauty Pulse survey for 2019. These surveys, which are designed to take no more than five minutes to complete, give us a quick pulse on a specific topic. Almost 100 salon owners and managers participated in this survey, and the results surprised—most reported that retail sales are up!
