At the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards on September 18, actress Alison Brie of "GLOW" was styled by Robert Vetica for Olivia Garden with a take on Old Hollywood that looked very new.

“We wanted Alison’s look to be very fresh and carefree," Vetica says. "I went with an old-school set, then deconstructed it to loosen and finish it for a modern look.”

HOW-TO

STEP ONE:  "We started this look by first applying Leonor Greyl Mousse Au Lotus Volumatrice to dampen and clean the hair, giving the waves consistency and hold.
STEP TWO: "I then began to dry her hair using Olivia Garden’s new Ceramic + Ion Professional Hair Dryer. I used the Olivia Garden NanoThermic Ceramic + Ion Round Thermal Brush while drying to create frizz and a static free finish, while also saving time.
STEP THREE: "Once every section of her hair was dry, I began to create waves using a comb and flat iron, starting at the back of head. I sprayed Leonor Greyl Condition Naturelle Heat Protective Styling Spray throughout each section of hair while creating the waves.
STEP FOUR: "After I completed each set of waves, I brushed through them using the Olivia Garden Divine Care & Style Boar Styler Brush to ensure the perfect comb out.
STEP FIVE: "To finish the look, I sprayed Leonor Greyl Voluforme Styling Spray starting at the root to create texture and hold. I then used the Olivia Garden Style-Up Folding Teasing Brush and began to backcomb at the root to create a halo of volume.
STEP SIX: "To ensure the look would last all night, I lightly sprayed Leonor Greyl Voluforme, creating a natural finish."
