In order to drive awareness and foot traffic to the newly opened salon and spa, The Red Door New York commissioned Kelly Ehlers and Evoke Brand Strategies to develop a selfie campaign utilizing the Red Door Gal’s existing social channels and the hashtag #TheRedDoorGal.

During the month of March, clients were encouraged to take a selfie of their new look via mirror-cling signage at stations as well as through social media posts. When they showed the front desk team that they had posted their selfie to their own Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Pinterest page and tagged the salon, they received $10 off their blowout service upon checkout.

“Not only did the campaign reach 52,235 Facebook and Instagram followers, but 1,119 fans took action, and a number of beauty bloggers wrote or tweeted about the campaign,” says Ehlers.
