STAMP 2016: The Black Cat's Guerilla Marketing Campaign

Stacey Soble | September 6, 2016 | 3:10 PM

The Black Cat Salon leveraged their storefront windows to attract the attention of passersby by poking a little fun at recent local trends. Tying into a dietary trend, they introduced gluten-free haircuts at their Kaimuki location. At their Kailua location, they capitalized on Hawaii’s recent issuance of medical marijuana growers’ licences by advertising their medical-grade haircuts.

“The windows gain a lot of attention in our community, and they even increase social media posts about our salon,” Petzold says.
