MORE FROM THE SALON OWNER:

1. List your three favorite features of your salon/spa design and explain why.
"Some of my favorite features are our “salon specific lighting" and custom salon furnishings, that are often lacking in the over populated salon market, and the added exposure for our color bar to add value and an unseen experience for the customer. I am also proud of successfully blending a new "Urban-Modern" salon in a rugged downtown area."

2. What was the biggest challenge about this salon or spa design, and how did you overcome it?
"The biggest challenge was finding the right blend of "downtown feel" and modern design to enhance client experience and keep people talking about our salon."

3. Who is your target market and how did you design this salon to attract that market?
"Bombshell's target market is the business district of our fast growing downtown area. With three major hospitals and multiple new businesses popping up downtown, we decided it would be a great location to attract new, fresh professionals."

4. Which specific elements of your salon design were planned to enhance productivity and profitability?
"One planned element in our salon was the exposed color bar in our main area. We had to get approval from the North Dakota Board of Cosmetology because it was against regulation to have an exposed color bar for health and safety reasons. With that approval we were able to be the first salon in our area to have this feature, which has helped build value and a unique experience in our salon."
