MODERN SALON MEDIA set up pages for all its editors this week, and last night at 2 a.m. I finally logged on and completed my profile. Then I trolled for friends for a while.  Before I knew it, it was 4 a.m.

This morning when I started work, I had 20 new friends. By evening, I was up to 50. I connected with old high school friends, relatives, and, of course, salon owners around the country. Every time I walked away from the computer, I'd catch myself creeping back to see if anyone new ‘friended' me. I can't say I got much else accomplished all day long.

All this time, I've avoided Facebook, because it's way too addicting!
