Dermalogica Brings On District Manager for the Sun-Belt States

Brenda Opatz, a licensed skin therapist, sales trainer and educator, has recently joined the Dermalogica team as District Manager for the Southwest / Mountain sales territory, which includes Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Las Vegas, NV and El Paso, TX.  Opatz is centered in Scottsdale, AZ, which is also home to Dermalogica in Scottsdale, the new, state-of-the art hybrid education and retail center that hosts ongoing training and classes as well as the brand’s live presentations and special events including the hot-ticket Guest Speaker Evenings with skin care experts from around the world, and from all phases of the industry.

Opatz earned her Esthetician’s License in 2001, and completed a medical esthetics program beyond that licensing requirement. She also holds a BS Degree from Portland State University. For five and a half years, she served as part of the L’Oreal team representing SkinCeuticals, holding the titles of Senior Territory Sales Manager and Regional Sales Trainer, and working as part of the Leadership Development Program. She has also worked with the La Roche Posay and Allergan brands.

Earlier in her career. Opatz owned and operated her own skin care and makeup business in Scottsdale, and was a Dermalogica stockist. “I am so impressed with the current innovations in the Dermalogica brand,” she comments, “and I am very excited to re-join the professional skin care industry’s most influential ‘tribe’.”

And on her new position in the sun-belt desert states, Opatz says,  “This is a high-growth region where age-smart and weather-wise skin care present huge opportunities for our industry. Our gorgeous mountains attract skiers, our sunny climate attracts retirees, and Las Vegas draws a global crowd which requires skin rejuvenation for an array of lifestyle reasons.”
