Algenist, the beauty brand known for its high-performance algae-based skincare delivering 10-day results, announced the appointment of Rose Fernandez, current senior vice president, as chief executive officer, effective immediately.
Fernandez will take over the position previously held by Frederic Stoeckel, who played a critical part in the creation and success of Algenist. Stoeckel will continue to serve as a member of the Algenist board.
Fernandez has been with Algenist since 2016, working alongside Stoeckel on strategies to drive business and brand awareness. She has over 20 years of diverse experience in skincare sales and brand marketing, as well as digital experience – previously holding leadership roles at Jurlique, Kate Somerville and Murad.
“I’m honored to take on a greater leadership role within Algenist,” Fernandez says. “Since starting with the brand, the focus has been on growing our share in the marketplace by leveraging the brand’s clear strengths: sustainably produced algae, and clean and sophisticated formulas that deliver results in 10 days, every time. We have a team of people that are passionate about our customers and our products, which is paralleled with our ambition to lead us to ultimate success.”
Frederic Stoeckel, who is stepping down to return to his home country of France to be with his family, said, “It has been an honor leading the Algenist team since the brand’s inception. I’m extremely proud of what we’ve accomplished and I know Rose is the perfect person to further advance the brand. She possesses unparalleled knowledge of the industry and shows clear passion for the products. I’m confident her leadership will help further secure Algenist as a leading prestige skincare brand.”
All Algenist products are consumer and dermatologist-tested, non-comedogenic, hypoallergenic, and free of parabens, phthalates, nitrosamine, GMOs, and triclosan. For more information about Algenist, visit www.Algenist.com
