In 2015, Bii Hair Salon made a concerted effort to beef up their community and charitable activities.
“As we evaluated what worked and what didn’t, we determined that we needed to get children involved in these events so we had time to talk with and sell to their parents,” says co-owner James Gartner. “Thus, the idea of free hair chalk and braids.”
While the hair artist team spends time working on the children, the owners and the rest of the team describe the salon to parents and book appointments.
“To provide a little fun for the adults, we created a prize wheel,” says co-owner Adam Swanlund. “A person spins for a chance to win a free haircut, offered in only one space on a 10-space wheel. Other spaces included free luxury upgrades or samples.”
